Zay Williams is a singer, songwriter, record
producer, and rapper. Zay established himself in
2021, taking strides ahead of other independent
artists by being creatively involved in every aspect
of songwriting, ensuring his vision is expressed in
every track. Zay Williams expresses life's dualistic
nature in his music by providing party tracks you can
blast through your speakers, and heartfelt ballads
that put you in a romantic mood. Zay pushes the
boundaries of commercial music by making a darker
version of the classic R&B sound, mixed with Trap
elements like heavy bass and even throwing in pop
structure to his songs.

I'm an Emmy Award winning Songwriter and ACM Song Of The Year Nominee.
I've won 15 ASCAP Awards and written with some of the biggest artists in the world, in Country, Pop & Rock. My songs have been at the top of Billboard's #1 singles chart as a Songwriter and as Producer and they've appeared in TV series' more than 300 times. I write and produce artists in the direction they want to go in. I want the song to be great before I wrap the record around it. Everything begins with the song.
I moved to Nashville from Memphis to be a songwriter and that worked out for me pretty quickly. I signed with Universal, I had 3 hits in 3 years and my first #1. When I left there at year four, I helped start a publishing company, Big Tractor Music, with Producer, Scott Hendricks, now SR VP or A&R at Warner Brothers. Roughly 10 years later I became Head Of Creative at Chrysalis Music where I continued to write, produce and discover, sign and develop artist/writers.
The music business has many hats and I work hard to try not to wear too many at one time. To sum it up, I am a songwriter, producer, publisher, a passionate developer of young talent, a manager when I absolutely have to be and more often than not a consultant...not because I'm smart but because I'm experienced.

Chicago, IL, United States
I'm a session keyboardist from Chicago, with 10+ years of playing for artists and producers worldwide for independent and commercial projects.
I've been working as a musician professionally for 10 years both live and in the studio. My musical roots are in Gospel, but I'm also able to play Hip-Hop, Pop, R&B, Neo-Soul, Jazz, Rock, and Alternative, most of which has been accomplished here on SoundBetter
My recordings are rendered through quality Universal Audio Apollo preamps paired with quality samples and instruments. My sound ranges from intimately calm, to soulfully dynamic, and I'm able to design and program unique synth patches as well. I use high quality sounds ranging from pianos, electric pianos/rhodes, synthesizers, and B3 organ from Nord, Roland, UVI, and lots more. Feel free to listen to all the demos and samples you see.
I'm looking forward to connecting with you and working together!

I'm Michael Hahn, a Montreal-based musician, audio engineer, and music writer.
I'm the Editor at the LANDR Blog, owner/operator at Autoland, and guitarist/songwriter for the swirling indie-rock trio Slight.
Left brain artist looking to work on sonically adventurous projects and great songs.

Paris, France
British producer living and working in Paris. I produce artists and bands in my studio in the north of Paris (25 years experience).I also write songs for clients who need great english pop songs. I also program and arrange all the synths and drum machines that you need. You need me because I have real taste and a vision for each project.
I'm a music producer that can really take a project where it needs to go. I believe projects need producers who understand how to develop and write songs.I know how to capture and record the right sound for the required vibe. I live and breath music, I know instinctively what sound you're going for and what the song needs in order to connect with it's audience. I am also able to hire the right musicians to take the project to where it needs to be if you're aiming to compete at the very highest level. My style is often a fusion of techniques, mixing modern technology, synths, samples, drum machines, guitar effects, re-amping with old school techniques.

Staten Island, United States
After years spent perfecting his craft as a guitarist for some of the most notable acts to come out of Staten Island's rich and diverse local music scene (Paul & The Tall Trees, Eamon, and many more), as well as becoming a fixture at various acoustic/open-mic showcases, singer/songwriter Sergio Napoletano has found his stride....and his band. With an enormous support group of musicians/friends, the band doesn't just play songs but creates atmosphere. As a live act, the band can go from light and airy to gritty and tight, sometimes trading in their sweet polished sound for a more clunky indie-rock vibe which often demonstrates the real strength of their music: concise, well written songs and undeniable musical chemistry.

Montreal, Canada
I'm an engineer, drummer and percussionist who's worked with the Ottawa Symphony Orchestra and The National Art Center Orchestra, Capital Brass Works, along with many other bands and ensembles.
I made the move to Montreal as a drummer and audio engineer in 2011 and became a full-time freelancer.
I've toured extensively throughout 2013, and since returning to Montreal I've been working mainly as a recording and mixing engineer.
I had a chance to work on 2 Felix winning albums, with Alex Desilets, Windigo and Laurence Jalbert, Ma Route, and was recently recording engineer for the Juno and Canadian Folk Music Award-nominated album Hapax, by the band Oktopus (who I now play drums with).
As for the genre of music that I work on, I don't necessarily decide that for myself, but it gets determined by the projects I get hired to work on. I like music that's been well-honed, and the importance of the genre for me is secondary to that. I find the music itself tells me where to take the sound, and by having good communication with the artist/s we can make sure we're thinking along the same lines, plus I get to learn what the artist hears/has in mind.
When I do work on a new genre, I like to find new tricks that associate with that genre, but I also have a bag of my own tricks that I can bring to the table, which helps me bring a different light to a common sound.

I love to learn and teach, and employ humour, storytelling, art, and multimedia to bring people together. Focusing more on the side of dance and how music joins us, it is only recently I have begun to explore the creation of audio work. I consider myself a collaborator, with other artists, the community, and the environment.

With a keen ear for innovation, Vittorini has become a driving force in the music industry, shaping the sonic landscape with a fusion of beats, melodies, and lyrical depth.

Award winning songwriter and founder of music production house and music label Blekkett, he’s also a philanthropist, contributing to reforestation with the royalties coming from his music.

I’ve worked for more than three decades in the arts, as a musician, an educator, an author and an artist. I’ve worked on three records nominated for Juno awards; published multiple books with Bloomsbury and Oxford University Press, among other notable imprints, on the subject of popular music and record making, one of which currently resides in the Reading Room of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame; and I even won a Governor General's medal in 2006, at only 28 years of age, for my PhD research in the area of record production and media ecology. Since then I’ve been an associate professor of popular music studies at Western University, in London (Ontario), teaching primarily songwriting and project paradigm record production.
I have always been an avid fan (and maker) of collage. I’m totally fascinated by the weird brain states the medium provokes in viewers, as the obviously mass produced print ephemera of disposable consumer culture assembles to create totally new and unique visual experiences.

20+ years ago, before there was Scar After Scar or Uvula, there was me in a room with a bunch of equipment I didn't know how to use. The result of that is Swerve For the Girl. Despite all it's flaws -- my crappy playing, producing, and singing -- these are some pretty cool little alternative/punk songs.
Now, in addition to tearing up the punk clubs in the Pacific Northwest with my band, Uvula, I record, mix, and master analog sound of all types -- punk, rock, metal, alternative, indie, jazz, big band, orchestra, chorale, duets, quartets, etc.
My goal is always to showcase the performance. I want to bring the performance to life in the most compelling way and strip all the unnecessary BS out of it. Think more Steve Albini and less Butch Vig, although I love them both.
To date, I have recorded, mixed, and mastered over 60 albums and countless singles, and live sessions.

Those before me who have elevated sucking to an art form...

Hi! My name is Matt Rifino. I am a 5x EMMY Award Winning Music Mix Engineer. Over the last 25 years I’ve worked with over 1,200 artists mixing 5,000 plus songs.
In the end is it really about the gear? Does the end listener care what reverb was used on the vocal? NO! They are listening because they want to feel something. They want to relate to the music. They want to be happy, be sad, smile, cry, scream, fall in love, breakup, jump up and down. My goal is to squeeze the most of those emotions out of every song I mix. First and foremost I'm an avid music listener and live for those moments of connection with the music. My life's mission is to help bring those feelings to as many people as I can.
I don't care about gear. I care about the artists, the listeners, and the music. What is your vision for the project and how I can help you achieve it? What kind of energy and emotion do you want share with the world? What do you want the listener to feel? When mixing a song I want to know that so I can help you take the listener to those places. It's your song and I'm here to help translate the sounds in your head into the hearts and minds of the audience.
?
I bring that same philosophy to your music for live streaming, concert, and promotional performances airing on the web and television. It's not just another performance. It's your performance. I want to give the same attention and care to the mix that was given to the writing and performing.
?
If you are looking for someone to help take your vision over the finish line please reach out and let's talk. Please inquire about my very reasonable rates for independent artists.
