Hello all. My name is Ryan Sands. I'm a young, dynamic drummer from Connecticut with the aspirations of being one of the greats in modern Jazz music. As a musician, I prioritize feel, subtleties, and rhythm when I'm working. My style of play has led me to work with Phil Markowitz, Dominque Eade, and being a rotating member in the Christian Sands Trio. Currently mans the drum chair for the upcoming New York-based Free Improve collective, Altus, featuring David Adewumi, Isaac Levein, Neta Ranaan, and Nate Reising. For the last couple of years I've been leading my own trio, the Ryan Sands Trio, and this fall I'll be releasing my debut record, Standing on the Edge of Tomorrow. My main musical influences are Brian Blade and the Fellowship Band, Thelonious Monk, Bill Whiters, Tyler The Creator, and Organized Noize. From there, together we focus on the sound selection based on references. I look for what drums were used and common chord progressions. Q: What do you bring to a song? A: Novice producers typically use generic sounds, they don't push the boundary. Often they use loops and don't put much thought into the realism of the performance. Much of this unhelpful workflow comes from ego. When working with clients, I never start the conversation about my own taste of music. Instead, I begin with listening to the artist with the intent of every artist leaving with a new found confidence in their sound. Q: What's your strongest skill? A: Drum Programming. I got my first drum kit when I was 2yrs old. Rythmic music has become where I find myself most naturally at home at. Q: What type of music do you usually work on? A: My take on RnB & Hip Hop is to grow the genre by experimenting similarlly to how glam rock formed into grunge Q: Can you share one music production tip? A: Being crazy on the production is fun, but the focus should always be on a well written song. Otherwise the song that is created is a polished turd. Q: How would you describe your style? A: ExtraTerrestrial Production. Original songs begin with allowing production to be malleable in order to serve the song. My focus is not to see how cool I can may a track, but rather how happy an artist can sleep at night with their new song.

Matty Harris, a Los Angeles based mixing and mastering engineer, began his career as an award-winning drummer, touring with bands at just 14. After studying Music Production and Engineering at Berklee College of Music, he worked in Boston's top studios, producing and mixing Sammy Adams' debut album, which hit #1 on iTunes independently. Moving to LA, he contributed to Kelly Clarkson's Grammy-winning "Stronger" and co-mixed an album with Travis Barker and Lil Huddy. In 2019, he was selected to study with industry legends Jaycen Joshua and Dave Pensado in France. Matty runs an online mixing and mastering service, focusing on helping independent artists compete with major labels. His portfolio includes collaborations with artists from Atlantic, RCA, WB Records, and more, including Huddy, Cuco, A$AP Rocky, Logic, and Lil Yachty.

Rajah Mahdi is a Recording Artist from Elk, NJ who shoots and edits his own Music Videos. He has Performed at venues in the Philadelphia/NJ Area Including The Rusty Nail and The Blackwood Cafe. When Rajah was born he had 15% blood volume resulting in cerebral palsy.
