Ko-Jo Cue is an award-winning rapper/songwriter from Ghana, West Africa. Growing up surrounded by his entire extended family and sharing a sleeping mat with 5 cousins, the values of family were instilled in him at an early age. These values are shared in most of his songs. Between 2015 and 2018, he released several singles which made him a radio darling and a household name. Notable amongst them are Lavender with E.L, Tsioo Benke Mi with International Songwriting Competition winner A.I, Up & Awake with BET Nominee Kwesi Arthur, Things We Do 4 Love with highlife sensation KiDi and 2 time BET Best African Act Sarkodie, and My BayBey with Afrobeats superstar Mr. Eazi. He headlined and sold out his first ever concert which he dubbed CUE for President in an effort to promote the participation of the youth in the Ghanaian electoral process. MTV Base placed him at No. 9 on their 2016 Hottest Emcees in Africa list. He also earned an opening spot on Ms. Lauryn Hill’s 20th Anniversary Miseducation Tour. In 2017, he secured his first endorsement deal with international brand KFC and became the streetwise ambassador for Ghana. He is well known for being very vocal about social and political issues on his social media platforms. Currently, he is promoting his debut album For My Brothers, which dropped in 2019 to critical acclaim for its discussion of issues affecting the youth such as wealth creation, feminism, and mental health.

Creating music is my life passion. I try to incorporate a philosophy with my songwriting by using these 5 elements in a creative process: 1. Music to inspire; 2. Rhythm to groove; 3. Melody to motivate; 4. Harmony to enlighten; and 5. Hybrid to unite. For example, a harmony that warms the heart; a melody that makes you smile; a beat that pats your foot and tickles your toes, makes you groove or simply soothes. It could make you cry or make you laugh, or maybe something that just makes you wonder and later discover why. It can be a memory, a season, or just simply hello or goodbye. Whatever the reason: unite, give praise, reach out, promote, give hope, inspire a cause, create, celebrate, relief, aid, elevate, heal, feel good, have fun, past the time, share a rhyme, or even to make a dime. Although there is one thing music cannot do, that is, it cannot tell a lie. Unlike words that can deceive, music is vibrations, stimulation's, movements, velocities and times; emotional sound waves connecting our lives across boundaries of all kinds.
