africanhorn is a musical duo formed in 2023, following a swift collaboration on the soundtrack of an experimental short film. Their first album was produced in three months, striving to merge electronic sound collages with synth-focused EDM. The tracklist flows smoothly between evocative soundscapes and rhythm-driven songs, offering a continuous, immersive experience. In the following months of 2024, their creative efforts led to Tidal Crises, which explored a more rock-oriented direction while preserving their signature ambient textures. Currently africanhorn pushes the boundaries of contemporary popular music, drawing on the harmonic richness of 18th-century classical traditions and drawing inspiration from new movements of contemporary art.

Inizio a suonare verso la metà/fine degli anni novanta. Maturo esperienza in diversi gruppi di rock e rock progressive anni '70 (sonorità di cui sono un vero appassionato), nel 2000 vinco una borsa di studio in basso elettrico presso il Saint Louis Music Center di Roma. Ho avuto la fortuna di calcare alcuni dei palchi piu importanti del panorama romano e sempre in veste di bassista ma tuttavia sempre senza ottenere i successi veramente sperati. Maturo una minima esperienza in studio di registrazione, sia per incidere che per affrontare le sessioni di mixaggio. Ho deciso da pochi anni, di dedicarmi ai sintetizzatori elettronici in particolare quelli piu iconici degli anni '70 come Arp Odissey, Moog, Arp 2600, Yamaha CS80 e tanti altri, per realizzare musica elettronica. Continuerò a coltivare la mia passione per la musica con soli progetti solisti che mi piacerebbe un giorno vedere utilizzati per colonne sonore di qualunque genere. Non sono interessato all'attività live.

Hi, I'm Danilo Digiacomo, I'm a music producer and I work in music production. The genres I love to play most are Latin, Latin house, Cuban music and pop. In addition, I can make myself available for the creation of single instrumental tracks. I create complete beats, completely arranged by me from start to finish, including the mixing and mastering phase.
