Manu fuses an intriguing blend of sounds to create his very own swift, groovy, and refreshing signature sound. Already from a very young age, Emmanuel took a keen interest in electronic music. Forming a strong connection with it, he quickly realized his dream of making people dance. Having gone through an exploration of different artistic universes, Emmanuel found himself as a musical artist and aims to distinguish himself by his authenticity in order to offer a unique sound. English/French Canadian duo The Bodies are on a mission to revive the spirit of old school rock and roll and put it in a modern context, a task inspired by the work of classic groups like The Beatles, The Guess Who, and Simon & Garfunkel, as well as some 21st century bands, like Half Moon Run and The Tragically Hip. Half Toronto and half Montreal, their sound is mature yet whimsical, moody yet optimistic, dreamy yet captured by a down-to-earth aesthetic. Unpredictable in subject matter and varied in style, each song thought up by The Bodies will make you want to know what’s coming next.

I'm an electric bass player located in the Plateau, available for gigs and recording! I'm experienced in genres including (but not limited to) funk, hip-hop, soul, folk, and blues. If you're looking for a bass player I'm eager to hear from you.
