I have toured with or opened for The Zac Brown Band, Walé, Gogol Bordello and Ozomatli. As a guitarist and bassist, I have had the privilege of touring with many bands and artists including Norah Jones, Daniel Johnston, Bedouine, Ben Kweller, Jonathan Wilson, The Redwalls and Alberta Cross as well as playing with members of The Grateful Dead and Phish. I've been playing music since I was four and there is nothing that I love more. Making music with people who are creative and strive to push themselves is something I will always crave. My favorite kind of music is made when talented musicians are using their intuition. This tends to happen in the first handful of takes. I like the spontaneity and the commitment to that moment. It's why I love working with tape (obviously this can happen in the digital world as well). In saying that, I'm always up for spending as much time necessary to get the right take. I am very experienced in digital comping and splicing tape. I've had the honor of working with a lot of different artists and am well-versed in many genres. I like learning new things and am always open to surprises that happen during recording. I enjoy helping artists with songwriting. If you're stuck on something, I'd love to add a fresh perspective for the song to take an interesting turn. I pride myself on bringing a friendly, open-minded and organized approach to my work. I discovered the guitar in infancy and has never looked back. From my first professional recording experience at Abbey Road Studios, aged seventeen, to tours, television and concert work with a stellar cast comprising Bryan Ferry, Rod Stewart, Joss Stone, Belinda Carlisle, Lily Allen and countless more, I've honed my musical skills over more than twenty years across a range of disciplines and to international acclaim. Baran Ozhan and Foilshot’s song "Le Freak ", released on Elephant House Records, topped the charts for 56 days last year, peaking up to #5 on Electro House's world rankings on Beatport. His song "Dünden Kalanlar", which he released in July 2021, attracted the attention of Spotify editors and placed 6th on the "Dunes"
