Based in Jakarta, Indonesia, anthemic-indie rock unit lightcraft first got together in the year 2005 when original members Imam Surataruna, Fari Febrian, and Enrico Prabowo were studying at the same university in Selangor, Malaysia. I was one of the only African American students in a lot of my advanced classes growing up. Because of that, I had a lot more white friends than black friends. In American high schools, there are a number of cliques and social groups: preps, the jocks, stoners, emo-goths, anime/manga otaku, the athletes, the ratchet hood cliques, band nerds, theatre kids...There are so many! I don’t have time to discuss them all right now. I have turned an oppressive and offensive name into something that gives me encouragement and strength. I've been recording, producing, and writing for other artists and myself of course for over 20 years. I ran a studio for a studio for 15 years before spending a couple of years in LA as a Post Audio Mixer and Assistant Video Editor on a entertainment news and talk show. After the show show was cancelled I spent a few years teaching Audio/Video production at a small college and am now working as a freelance videographer/social media content creator, and mix engineer/producer. I spend all of my "free time" creating tracks and videos for my project Cavedoll which has had an extremely diverse and prolific catalogue floating around the interwebs.
