A singer-songwriter ballad boy based in Richmond, Virginia. Trained in classical and contemporary orchestras in violin & cello during his years in school, he also taught himself guitar, piano, and ukulele; honing those acoustic-pop singer-songwriter mediums that he uses to reflect and amplify his emotions. During his years at Virginia Commonwealth University, he joined The Notochords: VCU's oldest co-ed student-run a capella group. In his 4 years as an active member, arranger, and friend, he inspired a love for music and helped cultivate a comforting family of singing friends during his time as the President and Music Director. Mj is part of a collaborative project called Lone Collective, where he partners with project coordinator and best friend Chris Richardson, as well as producer Eric Orentas and friends in RVA to produce music ranging and blending from alternative to electronic with a bit of pop, R&B influence, and more.

Seit seinem fünften Lebensjahr spielt Valentin Violine und erhielt zehn Jahre Unterricht bei Christin Deeken, einer ehemaligen Geigerin der Kölner Philharmonie. Seine Schulzeit an der Waldorfschule Neuwied sowie Praktika bei Instrumentenbauern vertieften sein Wissen über Musikinstrumente. Zudem baute er in Kursen der Klangwerkstatt Markt Wald eine ungarische Sherzither, eine Memling Fiedel und eine böhmische Hakenharfe. Über die Jahre erlernte Valentin zahlreiche Instrumente, darunter Violine, Gitarre, Memling Fiedel, Guitalele, Tin Whistle und Klavier. Seine Hauptinstrumente bleiben Violine, Gitarre und Stimme. Er sammelte Bühnenerfahrung bei Musicals, als Lead- und Backing-Vocalist sowie als Geiger in einem Irish Folk-Projekt. Derzeit studiert er Berufsmusik und Instrumentalpädagogik in Gießen mit Hauptfach Gesang und Nebenfach Gitarre, um als staatlich anerkannter Musiker und Musiklehrer abzuschließen.
