I am professional pianist and music teacher, occasionally composing in Ableton. I am mostly inspired by IDM/Experimental electronica, glitch and ambient music and can name like Telefon Tel Aviv, Massive Attack, Boards of Canada, Aphex Twin, Plaid, Hidden Orchestra and Tomáš Dvořák (aka Floex) as my main influences. I also love listening to Depeche Mode, Radiohead, Placebo and My Dying Bride.

As a child, Sylvain had lessons on the piano, and by his teenage years already wrote his own music, sang, played guitar, and bass in local bands with friends and family. In order to improve his musical knowledge and become a professional musician, he decided to study jazz music in College. He then became very busy, playing in tons of musical projects and never got his music degree. On his way, he had collaborated with such famous musicians as Paul Brochu (Jazz fusion Band Uzeb's Drummer, Michel Cusson (world-renown composer and guitarist), Michel Donato (Quebec Double Bass Legend) Paul Wertico (Pat Metheny Groups ex-drummer) and Emmanuelle Caplette, world-renown female drummer. Sylvain also produced 6 jazz albums under his own name as a pianist and composer and played and acted as musical director and music composer for many pop singers and multimedia shows all around the world. Sylvain received many important Performing Arts Awards from the local and national music industry. 3 times nominated as the personality of the year of his hometown's Chamber of Commerce, he also received the first "Prix de la créativité artistique" delivered by Drummondville's cultural committee. Sylvain also received a significant award from Quebec Arts and Letters Council: The "HOMMAGE AWARD" (a career award) given to one Quebec Center area artist each year. Sylvain also got the "Arts de la scène" award from Culture-Centre-du-Québec 2 times and received many grants from Quebec Arts & Letters Council (CALQ). In 2012, Sylvain started a new rock solo project: BLISS Living For Rock Music. In January 2014 (right after the release of the first album (Not Guilty), Sylvain and his musicians are invited to play at the most famous music convention in the world: The NAMM Show in Anaheim, California. A significant opportunity for the band, giving 2014 a solid kick-off!!!! A second album (It's Not Over), has been released at the end of 2014. In 2016, Sylvain released 2 new albums. "Piano Works II - Resolution” a piano solo album and "Temps d’exil” a french EP. More creative than ever, he then creates a new show called “Tableaux de Voyages” that includes Instrumental music, songs, and video projections resulting in a unique musical moment with stunning performances et very touching moments. As a Canadian music & film music producer, Sylvain holds a continuous work in progress show project called "Tableaux de voyages” that includes Instrumental music, songs, and video projections resulting in a unique musical moment with stunning performances et very touching moments. His last 10 albums reunite many music styles from "rock music" to "french songs style" and not to be forgotten, jazz and film music. Hi, my name is Johan and at the age of two, I became intrigued and interested in music. I was a very quiet child and I often listened to music coming from my father’s radio. Also, he was a musician. Pop, Rock, Funk, Jazz, Classical Music, etc. A little later, age 5, my grandmother learned me what a C-chord was, on her piano, in the different octaves. Later on, she learned me also the other chord-scales. At the age of six, I started to make my own drums with wash-powder boxes and I used wooden kitchen spoons to make the sound of a “drum”. When I was 8, several albums like, for example; “Let it be” by The Beatles, Block Buster by The Sweet, Black & Blue by The Rolling Stones etc… were a part of my drum exercise experiences as a young kid. STUDY’S: At the age of 9 I learned to play on a real drum-kit, learned to play the trumpet for six years, to fill up my evenings on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s. On Saturday morning and Wednesday afternoon I had to go to the music theory class and learned how to write music etc. At the age of 12, I had my first second-hand drum-kit and at sixteen I started playing in a Punk-Rock-band. Lot’s of fun indeed! Age 18 I went to study at private school ‘Haleweyn ‘Jazz-Studio’ in Antwerp, and learned a lot more about Jazz music and how to play it… I Love to play Jazz, but Funk and Rock became the biggest part of my drumming experience. When I was 29 I followed a sound engineering class for two years. Learned Analogue & Digital Recording and how to do the P.A. for concerts. Since 2004 I do the mastering for my own albums but sometimes also for other friends musicians. EXPERIENCE; I’ve played as a professional drummer in many bands (Belgium). Punk, Rock, New Wave, Funk and Jazz bands. I had my first professional contract for 5 years with ‘Citizen Jane’ (Jazz/Pop) at the age of 23 and recorded with them one cd called ‘Laureen’. I did many live concerts with that band, in Belgium and Germany. Big concerts and smaller gigs. I’ve been studio recording drummer too and have worked for approximately 40 years as a drummer. I still do play my drums, but more in a smoother way, and keep up learning. MY PROJECTS SINCE 2004; I work on three different projects; Wannislas, Johan Franz Lang feat. Space Orchestra and my band Abstinent Dazzle. With my first project ‘Wannislas’ (aka), I play, compose & produce some Funk, Rock, Reggae, Drum&Bass, Progressive House and sometimes a little Jazz Rock (Fusion) music. Second project Johan Franz Lang (aka) feat. Space Orchestra I make some kind of Contemporary “Classical”/ Modern music, Chill-out, Space Ambient and Easy listening. With my band, the third project, we play all the songs, dance-tracks and other music styles I just mentioned. I hope you’ll like our music and we will appreciate some comments and critics as well.
