I am a composer, pianist and vocalist based in Edinburgh. With a career spanning three decades, I work as a solo and collaborative artist throughout Scotland, UK and Internationally. I am the recipient of several awards including the Glenfiddich Spirit Of Scotland Award For Music and numerous awards for my work in the Edinburgh Festival. My work blends contemporary classical sensibilities with digital sound, creating emotive and atmospheric music from acoustic instrumental works, songs and larger-scale vocal works, to soundtracks and sound designs for theatre and dance. My debut album Something There is released on Linn Records and I release independent recordings and sheet music under the alias-label Blue Banyan Music. Hey everone, I'm Mike and I am from Germany. I make music for over 20 years now. My main instrument is the guitar but I also play bass, drums and a little bit piano so when I am composing I try to play all of the needed instruments by myself. I have played in a band for over 5 years and also was on stage with these guys it was a big expierence for me but unfortunally we broke up so I started my own project. In the last few years I made two solo albums. It's a mix of acoustic and I love playing Jazz...all kind of Jazz music. The next step is to try to get my songs public and I also like to share my music with other people to hear what they say about my music and also like to work with other musicians together.
