David Paul

I am a composer, pianist and vocalist based in Edinburgh. With a career spanning three decades, I work as a solo and collaborative artist throughout Scotland, UK and Internationally. I am the recipient of several awards including the Glenfiddich Spirit Of Scotland Award For Music and numerous awards for my work in the Edinburgh Festival. My work blends contemporary classical sensibilities with digital sound, creating emotive and atmospheric music from acoustic instrumental works, songs and larger-scale vocal works, to soundtracks and sound designs for theatre and dance. My debut album Something There is released on Linn Records and I release independent recordings and sheet music under the alias-label Blue Banyan Music.
