I've been working as a musician professionally for 10 years both live and in the studio. I am passionate about making music and helping others do the same. Montreal born and based, I've been lucky enough to visit 58 countries and live in a handful of them. I've had the pleasure of making music for and with many talented people and this is only the beginning... I've made music for video games, commercials, film scores, but mostly (and my specialty) is to make electronic music using sounds I create from scratch - no loops and to ensure that everyone is dancing! I am a singer songwriter, musician, composer and voice over from France. I work in a home studio with an AT4033 and a Bluebird on Ableton Live 11 connected to a Focusrite Saffire Pro 14. I can sing and speak in English or French, on a lot of different genres of music and kinds of productions. I am a professional musician since 2010 and got caught in the voice over business, that I am also passionate about, since 2020. I compose music for the theatre, I sing for commercials and I write songs under the name of White Velvet. I can lend my voice to advertisement, documentary, children's tales and more. My mother tongue is French but I got a licentiate degree in English and I spent a semester in England (Leeds Metropolitan University), where I acquired a lot of skills in the English pronunciation. I am a saxophone/piano player based in Leeds in the UK. I have toured extensively throughout the UK and on the continent, performing in a variety of styles. I am also highly proficient in transcribing and have a lot of experience in styles such as pop, jazz, soul, neo-soul and classical. I am a multi-style cellist, composer, videographer, and photographer originally from New York now based in Nashville, TN. With two classical music degrees under my belt and a wealth of experience improvising and writing my own music, I feel pretty comfortable in most musical settings, especially the Americana genres. When I'm not in the studio, I'm on the road with Country singer-songwriter Brandy Clark pretending that I'm an entire string section with a huge pedal board. I also have my own band called Oliver the Crow (whom NPR called an “inspired collaboration") and a string quartet called the Atwood Quartet. I've got a solo album coming out this fall with all my own compositions (also recorded right in my home!). Besides these current gigs, I've collaborated with trumpeter and composer Frank London of the Klezmatics and North Indian classical music tabla player Shawn Mativetsky. My playing can be heard on albums by bluegrass guitar virtuoso Billy Strings, the Call of Duty video game series, as well as dozens more major motion picture soundtracks and albums. My former folk duo, Bride & Groom, toured Canada and America extensively, growing a sizable audience. I use my wealth of musical experience in inform her work with other musicians in the realms of photography and videography. I have produced visual works for Sarah Jarosz, Molly Tuttle, Jillette Johnson, and more. I hold a Bachelor of Music degree and a Performer’s Certificate from Purchase College, State University of New York where I studied with Julia Lichten and a Master of Music degree from McGill University where I studied with Matt Haimovitz.

After obtaining a Bachelor's degree from McGill University, Ken pursued a full time music career. Starting with guitar performance for off-Broadway musicals in New York (NY) and in Montreal (QC), his career quickly gained traction. He continued performing on guitar, voice, percussion, keyboards and bass for many events such as: opening act for Mumford and Sons, Jazz Fest, 4 sold out Metropolis with the Franklin Electric, and Osheaga main stage. As a musician, in the last three years alone, he toured in over 18 countries with The Franklin Electric (Juno nominated), Patrick Lehman (Juno nominated), and others with roles in guitar, keys, vocals and bass. In addition to tours, he has performed across multiple nationally televised and broadcasted venues including: The Bachelorette Canada, ABC (national Australian radio), Canada AM, Radio Eins (Germany's premier radio), Qmusic (Danish T.V.), and Inas Nacht (German television with over 3 million viewers). Beyond performance, Ken has arranged (bass and guitar) on many records including Patrick Lehman's 'Buthcy's Son' (Juno nominated) and The Franklin Electric's 'Blue Ceilings'; 'In Your Head', and 'In Your Heart’. This initial experience has motivated a deeper commitment toward writing and arrangement for artists across North America across a range a styles that go beyond Ken’s original experience in country music. In particular, these genres now include folk, indie, pop and rock artists. Ken directly attributes this versatility in style to the successful production since 2018 alone of E.P.’s and singles for Velvet Black, Allison Fortier, Emilie Skahan, Lia, Delta Creek and many other Canadian and American artists.

With 30+ years in the business, working for and collaborating with a multitude of commercially successful artists, producers, DJs, film composers and advertising agencies, I am always looking for fresh projects that challenge my audiophile mind. In my own studio, I usually write & produce in Ableton Live, and record, mix and master in ProTools. Happy in either environment, I sometimes use both concurrently via Rewire. I did a *lot* of remixing in the 90s and 00s, and still enjoy doing so. Leftfield and experimental sound design have always been favourites of mine, as well as composing to picture. Composition for TV advertising in New York, and collaboration on a number of feature films with the named composers brought plenty of sound to picture experience, and I taught Audio Post Production at Full Sail, Orlando. I started mastering for a number of random projects a while back, and the constantly happy clients have push me to also offer this service. Try it out for yourself!

I've been playing flute since 1997. I have several degrees in music performance, and I have recorded on countless projects. I've performed in the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, Ottawa and Montreal's Jazz festivals, and the Marciac Jazz festival. I have a lot of experience in knowing in the moment what a song might need, and being able to come up with new ideas that suit the vibe of the song. I came up learning heavy metal and classic rock guitar solos on the flute, and kept working with that and eventually switched to jazz, with a focus in improvisation. I also learned the sax shortly after, and I am able to play tenor, alto, soprano and Baritone, even at the same time!! I've studied with some of the best saxophonists in the world, including David Binney, George Garzone, Donny McCaslin and Dave Liebman. I also play clarinet, keyboards and percussion. I came up in a rich musical background so I am able to perform and interpret in many different styles, from pop to rock, to reggae, to jazz, to hip hop to even techno. I love playing different styles and fusing them together. I'm looking forward to being able to work together and recording on your tracks!!!
