My name is DC Medina from Hartford, Connecticut. I was born in the Bronx in the early 90s and once called the paradise of Puerto Rico home. I have been writing professionally for over ten years. In college, I minored in creative writing and showcased my prowess by working for the school's paper and the literary magazine as a section and genre editor respectively. I have freelanced as a news reporter, and wrote for EDMTunes.com between 2012 and 2013, covering events and reviewing music. My musical journey began in 2002 with a jestful death metal band I started with my best friend called "Chaos Informed." I learned the trumpet, timbales, drums, and a bit of the piano between 2002-2008. But in 2009, FL Studio turned my world around, sparking my music production career. Dutch house remixes in 2010 of classic Deadmau5 and Skrillex songs garnered me some attention and led me to my first full album, "The Russian Lady Diaries," in 2012. Since then, I have released 3 full albums, 5 EPs, and numerous singles.

I'm Loris, music enthusiast from the duo Angara -with releases on Monstercat (Silk), Enhanced Music (Colorize), Electro Posé (Inside Records), Anjunabeats and Armada Music (Subjekt) and supported by big names such as Lane 8, Nora En Pure, Polaroit, Above & Beyond, Ferry Corsten, Sultan+Shepard, Joris Delacroix, Don Diablo .... I have been spending almost a decade practicing my Producing/Mixing and Mastering skills right down to the tiniest detail for both my project Angara and other artists/projects. I used to study music theory in the conservatoire as well as performing Bassoon in the youth orchestra of my home city. I will always favor the story, emotions and energy you want to communicate by enhancing them while keeping all the technical stuff right on point. I'm also a DJ specialized in Electronic Music and more precisely in genres that contains "House" in it (Progressive, Chill, Deep, Melodic,Organic, Pop, Tech..) but also in Downtempo, Electronica and all kind of Techno.

I have recorded and/or mixed artists including Grammy award-winning drummer Kenny Smith. With a well-versed background in music theory, much of my work comes from producing and co-writing with solo artists and singer-songwriters. I instruct or have instructed in the audio programs offered at The Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences, Aurora University, and Waubonsee College mastering clinics. Based in NYC, I specialize in multi-instrumentalism, sound design and production. I've created music for a variety of projects, including recording a Grammy nominated album for the hit Broadway show Come From Away. I have written, produced and recorded for corporate clients such as AT&T, and done sound design for LP24 Audio/Loopmasters. Baran Ozhan and Foilshot’s song "Le Freak ", released on Elephant House Records, topped the charts for 56 days last year, peaking up to #5 on Electro House's world rankings on Beatport. His song "Dünden Kalanlar", which he released in July 2021, attracted the attention of Spotify editors and placed 6th on the "Dunes"

I am a professional audio mastering engineer with 10 years of experience. I have worked with artists from most all genres, from electronic music to rock, pop, rep, urban, hip-hop, and with producers from all walks of life. I have real world industry knowledge. Thanks to advances in computer processing and DAWs it has allowed me the ability to now mix from my home studio and still employee the same workflow. Rick Cassman began his musical career in the garage of his parent's house in Ealing aged 12. His first instrument was a tennis racket with nailed on elastic bands as strings. Discovering that one of his friend's dad played the drums, he acquired a snare and a cymbal and began beating out a rhythm. And so 'Rick and The Robots' was formed with three unwilling schoolfriends - playing gigs in the alleyway to their friends. After a brief spell at Ealing School of Art, Rick befriended local college band Gnome Sweet Gnome and got a job as their lighting roadie. A band punch up after a rehearsal for a big gig at Imperial College in London forced their bass player to quit and Rick persuaded the band to let him take over. Dropping out of art college to go on the road and tour Europe, Rick was disappointed when the band split and left him high and dry. Not to be deterred, Rick continued composing songs and was signed to music publishers Carlin Music in London as a staff writer. During his apprenticeship he composed boxer Henry Cooper's one and only hit record 'Knock Me Down With A Feather' - but please don't tell anyone!! Friends told him to form a band so there would be an outlet for his music and so with guitarist Richard 'Boot' Kingsman the band Straight Eight was put together in 1976. The Who's Pete Townshend heard some demo's and signed the band to his Eel Pie label. Much success and three albums and a tour supporting Queen resulted in Rick's first fully professional stint as musician. When S8 split in the early '80's Rick built a recording studio with fellow muso Richard Lightman and they ran Triple X Studios for 10 years, producing and engineering albums for bands including Suede and Fields Of The Nephilim. In the early 90's Rick moved his studio to Berwick Street in Soho and managed jingles company Music To Picture with keyboard player Vyv Hope Scott. Over a period of ten years they composed over 1000 production music titles for film and tv. Fast forward to the 2000's and the urge to go back on the road and perform live again was too great to resist. With various musical friends Rick began playing with The Deputies band and still performs regularly around SW London. In 2016 Rick began working with his old friend, music producer and songwriter Mike Paxman (Judie Tzuke, Steve Howe, Status Quo, Asia, Rhino's Revenge) composing and recording songs for his first solo record 'Method and Accident' which is due for worldwide release in 2019.

Coming from a musical family, I found music & the guitar at a very young age. Fascinated by the guitar's ability to forge unique connections, I have pursued sound, the craft of music, adventure, and those rare musical connections for over thirty years. From childhood through high school I played music with my brothers. We played loud & fast, with angst and creativity! In college, I studied classical guitar for nearly a decade with the famous Romeros family of Spanish guitarists. During this time I earned Bachelor's & Master's degrees in music. In 2012 I performed for the Dalai Lama and 13,000 in attendance at San Diego State University's Viejas Arena. I perform a variety of styles and I have performed at the L.A. Music Awards, the Sundance Film Festival, and at festivals in the US & Europe. In addition to performing, I have composed and recorded music for TV & film and produced award winning tracks.
