Tom Shemer is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer. He splits his time between touring the world as the guitarist of THE DAMN TRUTH and as a producer. After obtaining a Bachelor's degree from McGill University, Ken pursued a full time music career. Starting with guitar performance for off-Broadway musicals in New York (NY) and in Montreal (QC), his career quickly gained traction. He continued performing on guitar, voice, percussion, keyboards and bass for many events such as: opening act for Mumford and Sons, Jazz Fest, 4 sold out Metropolis with the Franklin Electric, and Osheaga main stage. Beyond performance, Ken has arranged (bass and guitar) on many records including Patrick Lehman's 'Buthcy's Son' (Juno nominated) and The Franklin Electric's 'Blue Ceilings'; 'In Your Head', and 'In Your Heart’. This initial experience has motivated a deeper commitment toward writing and arrangement for artists across North America across a range a styles that go beyond Ken’s original experience in country music. In particular, these genres now include folk, indie, pop and rock artists. Ken directly attributes this versatility in style to the successful production since 2018 alone of E.P.’s and singles for Velvet Black, Allison Fortier, Emilie Skahan, Lia, Delta Creek and many other Canadian and American artists.

With 30+ years in the business, working for and collaborating with a multitude of commercially successful artists, producers, DJs, film composers and advertising agencies, I am always looking for fresh projects that challenge my audiophile mind. In my own studio, I usually write & produce in Ableton Live, and record, mix and master in ProTools. Happy in either environment, I sometimes use both concurrently via Rewire. I did a *lot* of remixing in the 90s and 00s, and still enjoy doing so. Leftfield and experimental sound design have always been favourites of mine, as well as composing to picture. Composition for TV advertising in New York, and collaboration on a number of feature films with the named composers brought plenty of sound to picture experience, and I taught Audio Post Production at Full Sail, Orlando. I spent the first 10 years of my career working at a studio privately run by dance/rock pioneers Apollo 440 in London. Now working freelance, I draw on all the knowledge and experience I gained working with countless singers/bands/artists/producers (both established and new) on all sorts of different projects. Mixing is not simply a technical procedure, it's a creative process. You can get a song sounding good a million different ways using all kinds of techniques but does it make the listener feel the way it's supposed to? I am a perfectionist. I've been playing flute since 1997. I have several degrees in music performance, and I have recorded on countless projects. I've performed in the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, Ottawa and Montreal's Jazz festivals, and the Marciac Jazz festival. I have a lot of experience in knowing in the moment what a song might need, and being able to come up with new ideas that suit the vibe of the song. I came up learning heavy metal and classic rock guitar solos on the flute, and kept working with that and eventually switched to jazz, with a focus in improvisation. I also learned the sax shortly after, and I am able to play tenor, alto, soprano and Baritone, even at the same time!! I've studied with some of the best saxophonists in the world, including David Binney, George Garzone, Donny McCaslin and Dave Liebman. I also play clarinet, keyboards and percussion. I came up in a rich musical background so I am able to perform and interpret in many different styles, from pop to rock, to reggae, to jazz, to hip hop to even techno. NERDOfficial was born August 30th, 1994 in Georgetown, Guyana. He moved to the United States at the age of 8 in 2003 and has since then became a native to Decatur, GA. From the age of 10, NERD began showing strong interests in cartoons, anime, video games, music and art. He had a vision of becoming a graphic or video game designer but as he transitioned to high school he found his true love for music.In late 2017 NERD immediately released his debut single called “WERK” featuring King.K & Kid Mar$$. The single was a huge success generating over 20k streams on SoundCloud in 24 hours. NERD followed up his successful release with 2 more singles: “STATUS” and “BROKE”, which generated over 50k streams combined. Also during that year 2017, NERD & Kid Mar$$ founded their record label “Out Of Class Records” and continued to to release singles the rest of the year.
