I'm a fun and creative and thoughtful writer that can build rhymes for your next project with a quick turn around. My professional background was with 16 years in Nuclear Operations, but my passion is music. In the last couple of years, some life circumstances changed and I found myself falling into writing as an outlet. In the last few months alone, I've written lyrics for over 175 songs. Typically these are Hip-Hop, but I have also worked on Country, Rock and Pop styled music as well. I have some recorded music on soundcloud under Optimistic Rhymes with over 60,000 listens. In addition to writing, I enjoy playing the acoustic guitar and creating Hip-Hip style music using Logic Pro. I am not a vocalist, but I generally do my own vocals on demos. If you can share the music, or beat and give me the background on the song, I can turn around lyrics in 2-5 days.

Julian Roy’s sound is a combination of modern R&B and Neo-Soul mixed with experimental World Beat. His music is inspired by his travels through the island life of SE Asia and South America as well as living with musical communities in Nashville, San Francisco and now LA.
