Michael "Clip" Payne is an American musician. He has been a member of Parliament , Funkadelic, The P-Funk Allstars and the Parliament-Funkadelic collective since 1977. First credited on Parliament's 1979 release "Gloryhallastoopid" with "Choir Chorus", he has appeared on over 20 Parliament-Funkadelic collective recordings primarily as a vocalist and keyboardist. Payne, who is sometimes called "The Man in the Box", founded WEFUNK International in the late 1980s as a vehicle for his solo projects which became WEFUNK AD2k Records and Filmworks in 1999. Payne is listed as the BOSS of the company which is based in Woodstock, NY. Currently associated with the label are the groups DRUGS, 420 Funk Mob, and Cacophonic FM, all of which are led by Payne. Sin da piccola si avvicina al canto da autodidatta vincendo vari concorsi canori per bambini. All’età di 25 anni inizia gli studi di canto pop e Jazz dopo aver conseguito la laurea in Giurisprudenza e l’esame di avvocato. Studia canto con il maestro Luca Pitteri della scuola di “Amici”di Maria De Filippi per poi studiare canto Jazz per alcuni mesi con il maestro Carlo Lomanto. Canta a casa Sanremo. Incontra nel suo percorso artistico maestri quali Beppe Vessicchio ,Tano Campagnoli autore di : “DUJE SOL E DOOJE LUN” insieme a Mario Guida e Jean Quirito. Per il suo perfezionamento artistico incontra il maestro Roberto Giglio musicista e produttore di : Sergio Cammariere, Alan Sorrenti e Patty Pravo. Scrive per lei “ CHE CI AMIAMO A FARE” con cui partecipa a “VINCI IL TUO SINGOLO” della Musicaniam production diretta dal Maestro Gaetano Campagnoli ottenendo il Premio come miglior testo. Partecipa a numerosi talent classificandosi sempre tra i primi posti.In progetto altri inediti.
