Since 2014, and now as a quartet, Pesta has forged a consistent path with its album releases, videos, and live performances. Formed in the mountainous city of Belo Horizonte, Brazil, over a decade ago by Anderson Vaca (bass) and former member Daniel Rocha (guitar), the band was founded with the motivation of being a conscious tribute to the pillars of the doom genre—Pentagram, Trouble, Candlemas, Cathedral, and the inevitable shadow of Black Sabbath—a sound influenced by stoner rock, traditional doom metal, and seventies hard rock, updated with a mature sense of composition and a remarkable live performance. Pesta today consolidates itself as one of the most interesting voices in the current Brazilian metal scene, especially in the stoner doom genre, where it has become one of the most respected and well-known bands.

I'm a music industry vet who's currently immersed in the use of Generative AI in music production, marketing, and business. Ethically. I tend to find people have what I call "the terminator effect", which is a sort of catastrophizing of everything AI because of spooky 80s movies. It's a tool, just like drum machines were to drummers in the 80s, and just like DAWs were to reel2reel producers in the 90s and 00s. This, too, shall find it's way integrated into our toolbox, and those who embrace it will be positioned to come out on top. ANYTHING that democratizes everyone on the planet's ability to express themselves through music, and lets more of that wonderful thing be pumped into the world than anyone could ever listen to in their entire lives, with the chance of ONE of those songs inspiring me to do something great? Or anyone else? And I LOVE that thing more than anything else? .... ...and I'm...somehow.. MAD that it exists now? It's silly. I don't get it. Let people shred!

She is a Columbia College, Women and Gender Fellowship recipient for the Wonda Woman Project Zero Tolerance Tour which took on the challenge to reconstruct the negative image of women in the hip hop culture. Ang13 was selected by the U.S. State Department and sent to Cote D’ivoire, Africa with the Chicago Hip Hop Initiative to teach how the hip-hop culture is used for peace and tolerance as part of the Cultural Envoy Program. Currently, she is a host on Power Style Radio and guests hots on alternative radio stations. 13 takes the direct approach in her lyrical subject matter. Growing up in the streets of Chicago, she has been able to speak the language of the streets with the intelligence of a scholar. She studied masterminds and learned how to captivate the masses. She has an innovative style and is nothing like the “average female rapper”. Her lyrical content is intelligent and up-lifting with an edge. Her word play is so clever that she is able to reach consumers from the streets to Wall Street. She is considered to be one of the most respected participants in Hip Hop Culture.
