JONATHAN "GINGER" HAMILTON PICKED UP HIS FIRST PAIR OF STICKS AT AGE 3 AND NEVER LOOKED BACK! ? Hailing from South East London, born into the church and coming from a Gospel background is where Ginger developed his passion for music. He began to build a name for himself in the Gospel industry holding down the rhythm for top artists from the age of 14. ? He made his debut into the mainstream Pop music scene at the age of 18 and since then has become one of the sort after musicians of this time.

I am a session drummer based in Nuoro (Italy) available for remote drum recording at my studio . Tracks are delivered both raw and as mixed stems. I also produce and mix and more specifically mix drums for your productions. I'm drummer, composer and teacher, I have studied at the jazz seminars of Nuoro (director Paolo Fresu) and graduated at the Conservatory “L. Canepa Sassari” in Drums and Percussion Jazz studies. I have played in various musical contexts from Jazz to Rock, but also brazilian, cuban (where he played timbales percussion) and african music (where he plays doundouns percussions). In these musical contexts I have performed with Battista Giordano and Javier Girotto in Sofia Trio, Gavino Murgia, Antonio Ciacca, Alice Ricciardo and Lutalo “Sweet Lu” Olutosin in Jazz Orchestra “CalaGononeJazz Collective” and with Saverio Lanza, Gianni Maroccolo, Rossella Faa together with many other musicians. I have played in several festivals in Sardinia and the peninsula such As Cala Gonone Jazz Festival, “Festival Internazionale Animanera Mediterranea” in Nuoro, “Musica sulle Bocche” in Santa Teresa di Gallura, Festival “Terre Sonore” in Ozieri, “Festival EMMAS” and MusiculturaWorldFestival in Olbia, “Festival Internazionale di Villa Celimontana” in Rome, “Premio Nazionale delle Arti” in Messina and many others. In 2006 I recorded with the band CUBACUBA the CD “Alguer en vivo” and with the jazz trio Do.de.ca.foni the entire soundtrack of the documentary “Aria” by the director David Carrari, distributed by MONTURA EDITING and first prize of the Cervinia Film Festival 2009. In 2017 with the Sofia trio (www.sofiatrio.com) I recorded the CD “Sofia”, published by Dodicilune Discographical and Music Editions. I have taught drums and percussion since 2003, both in secondary schools, including the Liceo Musicale “Satta” in Nuoro, and in the Music Schools of Nuoro, Oliena, Orosei and Orani.

Favorite genres are jazz-funk/funk (i.e. Snarky Puppy, The New Mastersounds, Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio, Ezra Collective and so on) and modern styles from Hip-Hop to R'n'B(BurnaBoy, Pheelz, Drake, MeekMill), except of Schlager lul.. just to mention a few..
