I developed as a budding young engineer under the tutelage of Martin Pullan (Deep Purple, Anthony Callea, Jimmy Barnes). Since then I have had the opportunity of working on over 1,400 mixing and mastering projects for artists, labels, producers and engineers from both Melbourne and across the globe.

I have been playing bass most recently with Maggie Rogers since 2017. As her musical director and band member we did a great deal to rearrange her songs to adapt them to the stage. With other artists such as Eden, Morgxn, Sasha Sloan, Neon Trees and many more. I have been acting as musical director to help shape the arrangements, sound design, and programming of their live set. Bass is my primary instrument but analog synths and vintage gear is where my heart lives.

I have been playing music professionally for about 35 years as a touring drummer to the stars. I have since developed and sharpened my skills as a producer, session musician, instructor, and musical director. Yo, Our names are Jack and Xavier, and we are Gin & Tonic. The first question we always get asked is: “Who is Gin and who is Tonic?”. The truth is we don’t know. We got the name from a random word generator in year 8 when we were trying to come with a catchy name to use when DJ’ed at our mates house parties. Since then, Gin & Tonic has become a musical venture between 2 best friends that changed our lives in more ways than we thought possible. We have thrived on music and used it to express our emotions, explore creative boundaries and mould our identities into who we are today. Currently we produce and work full time, but we would rather spend most of our time focusing on music. To put it simply, we want to make a career out of producing since it is what we are most passionate about. On a side note, we also want to quit our lame day jobs and stick it to our parents who didn’t let us go to producing school (don’t tell them we said that).
