About TromboneJerome

Born in Brooklyn, raised in Texas, I live in London and have done so since 2007. I've been playing professionally and operating as a band leader since my teens on my primary instrument, trombone and specialise in horns. At the beginning of my career, I began studying music at St. Mary's University in San Antonio and then A&M University- Kingsville Tx. I began working as a musician on luxury cruise ships for 5 years which was fundamental in broadening my world view and allowing me to become self sufficient as a creative professional. I won a Latin Grammy for music written and recorded on Mexican pop star Alicia Villarreal’s album. From 2003 - 2006 I toured globally with Youngblood Brass Band and other international acts and in 2007 I moved to London in the UK. The following year, I established my band Brassroots and began to gig and tour worldwide as a bandleader. Stage highlights include playing WOMAD, Caceres to an audience of 40,000, Disco Bar Galaxy, Belgium to an audience of 60,000.
