About Curt Granger
Curt Granger is an American guitarist, songwriter, and boutique audio engineer who bridges radio-ready melody with high-octane virtuosity. A Birmingham, Alabama music fixture for over 40 years, Granger got his start in 1984 with touring rock outfit Pyrate, cutting his teeth across 600+ Southeastern shows. After earning an electronics degree, he shifted focus to original studio work, fronting alternative rock outfits Scream Sophie and Traumatide. In 2007, he took full creative control on his celebrated solo record, 420 Homegrown Avenue, and founded Granger Amplification, handcrafting custom tube amps to master his own signal path. Granger achieved national acclaim as the lead guitarist for premier Tom Petty tribute act The Wildflowers, touring sold-out theaters across North America. In February 2026, he returned to solo music with "Black Cloud"—a re-recorded original that unites his foundational songwriting, road-tested melodic instincts, and signature handcrafted tone.
