2:00 PM Founded by two friends in Utah, 2:00 PM is a duo music group of various genres; namely rap, alternative, rock, acoustic, singer/songwriter, etc. Formed in November of 2020 by Marcus Thompson (vocalist) and Porter Pettit (vocalist; producer), they quickly organized themselves and released their first single on Souncloud and YouTube- DARKSIDE, in mid February of 2021. Only two months later did they release their debut album: New World, quickly to be followed by two more albums, a mixtape, and an EP. As well as various singles of different genres such as “hiding”, “lean on myself”, “MY FAULT”, and “MANNEQUIN”. Combining the lyrical and musical likes of artists such as the late Juice WRLD, NF, XXXTENTACION, and even softer artists such as Anson Seabra and Lewis Capaldi, 2:00 PM combines different genres and vibes, to make something completely their own. “My style is just my style.” producer Porter Pettit says. Haters will hate, and that’s no different for 15 year old kids. Broken heart after broken heart, sad thought after sad thought, and good times after good times! Emotions really go to influence the lyrics of the group. Underestimated, the duo pushes past society boundaries of kids not being able to understand deep emotions.
