Dance music,R&B Funk and Soul music have always been in my blood. Having grown up in 1960s Long Island to a backtrack of Motown and tons of AM artists. I had the privilege of studying with Atlantic records session master Bernard "Pretty" Purdie (Aretha Franklin, Steely Dan,Jeff Beck) I later studied with Funk Drumming author Chet Doboe who is still my life long mentor. In the mid 1970s I toured with Sunshine Sound recording Artists Twice Is Nice, discovered by KC from KC and the Sunshine Band. After years of playing in various groups like Valhalla Recording Artists The Unit, Bitter End NYC house band The Crows and ex Lou Reed guitarist Ritchie Fliegler I moved to Tampa where I spent the next 27 years playing with local Rock favs Smoke n Run. So after several long years of planning, research, concert homework and practice The Pete Lee show was born. Featuring Electronic Pop/House/Trance EDM music set to a massive light and video show I perform on drumkit, percussion and vocals.
