Melanie Pyne is a multidisciplinary cultural producer, researcher, and audio-visual artist working at the intersection of human rights and environmental advocacy. Her practice blends archival, investigative, and mythopoetic storytelling to explore memory, resistance, and extractive justice. A key contributor to EarthElders, she investigates green colonialism, lithium extraction, and biocultural heritage. Past projects include visual ethnographies on European border violence and subverting surveillance for ecological stewardship. At COP26, she helped Minga Indígena achieve the world’s first Loss and Damage Fund. She has held residencies at Traditional Dream Factory, archived at the Museum of Contemporary Tibetan Art, and debuted sonics on Egregore Collective.
