About Allan

Allan Floyd, has been making music since before he could read. His first memory of creating lyrics and melodies were from before kindergarten. Since, he has continued to create hundreds of recorded tracks and live collaborations. However, “If I go to Sleep” and “Holiday Love” mark Mr. Floyd’s long awaited first commercial releases. Floyd’s musical upbringing began in the Detroit public schools. He studied trumpet, vocal, and general music. Allan was invited to perform with several all-city and all-state ensembles. He often credits the students of Detroit Cass Technical High School department as well as the staff for advancing his interest and his musical abilities. Later throughout Floyd’s adulthood he went on to study music, sound engineering, and perform with local talent. Although his general categories would be neo-soul or R&B, listeners can expect to hear eclectic blends of neo-soul with elements of hip-hop, blues, old school, R&B, rock and funk. Prince, Micheal Jackson, hip
