Picardee Records

John Ertman and Joseph Mathusek are a professional songwriting and producing team with a focus in both musical theatre and commercial music. Combined they have written over 70 songs and produced 5 albums. Ertman & Mathusek have written two musicals, "Alone" and "Mews." "Alone" was first produced as a workshop by the American Music Theatre Project in 2021. A subsequent workshop at the Paper Mill Playhouse Black Box and a concert at 54 Below followed. Under the Picardee label, they produced a professional concept album with an all-star cast of Broadway up-and-comers. "Mews" was commissioned by The Tank Artistic Director, Meghan Finn, and will receive its innaugrual workshop, courtesey of the Institute for American Music Theatre in 2025. As producers, they have recorded world-calss studios including Abbey Road, Power Station New England, Reservoir, and The Bridge. In addition to the concept album, they have released pop album "Idle Growth" and have four additional projects in the works.
