My name is Caitlin Goulet. I am an alt-pop and R&B singer and songwriter. I bring a vulnerable yet confident and emotionally charged voice to my eccentric and melodramatic brand of alternative pop/R&B. I am known for conversational, raw, and unapologetic lyrics, expressive vocals, and captivating stage presence. Listeners compare my sound to Banks, FKA Twigs, Tove Lo, Jessie Reyez, Solange, Snoh Aalegra, Tei Shi, Kelela, Lana Del Rey, The Eurythmics, Aaliyah, and Alicia Keys. I was educated at the Randolph College for the Performing Arts and have received continuous training and mentorship as a vocalist and songwriter since then. I am also an alumni of the prestigious Judy Stakee songwriting retreat, facilitated by the former VP of Creative at Warner Chappell Music. I cut my teeth performing as a theatre artist and cover performer in a wide variety of styles, and have appeared in more than 150 live shows. In addition to pop, R&B, and alt-pop, I can sing jazz, blues, soul, neo-soul, indie, folk-pop, country, and musical theatre. My repertoire has spanned from 1930s to current hits. In November 2019, I released my single, Dive Deep. My music video received the Vancouver Music Fund Music Video grant, awarded by Creative BC and The City of Vancouver. In August 2019, I pre-headlined Indigifest in Victoria, BC, opening for rising stars, the Snotty Nose Rez Kids. Recent performances include: New West Pride, Celebrities Nightclub, The Railway Club, and Talking Stick Festival. I have co-written with Vancouver artists Nimkish, Taryn Laronge, Mac Ramsay, Marz, and Van Ber. I have shared the stage with Canadian pop artists Terez, Madison Olds, and Good For Grapes and Australian artist Emily Wurramara, among others. My latest single, Crazy, Crazy, was released July 17th. I will be releasing my first album in early fall.
