Archie

Archie Baker’s guitar playing is electric. Literally. An experienced bandleader and guitarist, Archie creates a modern blend of pop, soul, and blues music that is catchy, imposing, and explosive. Since moving from his South London home, Archie has been cutting his teeth in the Sheffield soul and jazz scene. His 9-piece band, Archie Baker & The Blue Meanies, sit in contrast to the more dominant Sheffield rock scene, generally favouring a clean and precise sound, but occasionally borrowing some of Sheffield’s hard-fought grit and attitude. When Archie is not performing or recording with The Blue Meanies, he also co-writes, produces, and performs for the Sheffield-based jazz-funk band, The Lemur Conspiracy, and for singer/songwriter Chloë Beth Rogers.
