PRODUCER Stian stumbled upon music production in his mid teens, while studying media at college. His love for multi-layering brought him to do a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Music Production & Engineering, finishing with a 1st. Having produced tens of artists and bands from folk, pop, soul, funk and metal, Vedøy has matured his recording, producing and mixing skills to a professional level. SONGWRITER Songwriting was the catalyst of Stian's real love and passion for music. Since writing his first song as a 13 year old, Vedøy has written songs in the hundreds, for his own projects, for other artists and in collaboration with other songwriters. He also has some experience in top-lining. Stian gives most of his songwriting focus to his Indie alt pop duo project, Firewoodisland which has seen music on TV, national radio and boasts over 6M Spotify streams. COMPOSER Studying piano from the age of 6, Vedøy has years of classical training as a pianist. Coupled with a keen ear for musicality and details, he composes works of musical simplicity and sonic complexity. 2020 saw the light of Selsom - an Ambient / Neo Classical outlet for Vedøy's composition.
