About Quickmix

Frank Hassas (professionally known as Quickmix, Frankintosh, Xinematix and Dakota O’Neil is a German record producer, songwriter and remixer best known for producing Platinum and Gold dance hits “Another Night” and “Run Away” by Real McCoy and the Eurodance hits “Get-A-way” and “No More (I Can’t Stand It)” by Maxx in the mid-1990s. 1989 the Band MC Sar & The Real McCoy was born. Their first singles (Pump up the Jam Rap and Its on you) became hugely successful all over Europe and all went Top 10. 1993 the next Project was born: Maxx. Maxx combined the Club Sound with Ragga Vibes and became an enormous success in the Club scene. The two initial singles Get a Way and No more went Top 10 all over Europe and reached Gold Status. In 1994 The Band name of MC Sar & The Real McCoy was changed into The Real McCoy and the project got signed to BMG Germany and Arista Records USA. The Real McCoy had countless Top 5 Hits in the USA, UK, Japan and Europe and sold more than 8 million records worldwide. Their incredible success was honoured by dozens of Platinum and Gold awards, the MTV award, Billboard Award, a Grammy nomination as the most successful foreign Popact in the USA and the German Echo award. Furthermore Quickmix was honoured by the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) for the Song Another Night, which stayed in the US Billboard Charts for almost one year. Quickmix also worked as an engineer for the duet of Mariah Carey and Joe and wrote/produced several songs for one of Germanys biggest actresses and singers, Yvonne Catterfeld. He owns a Soundware Company “Quickmixaudio” and a Record Label “Electricity Records”. Quickmix has a free soundlibrary for musicians and composers on freesound.org
