Nathan Johnson

My name is Nathan Johnson. I am the mixing and mastering engineer at my sonic dojo Mixosmosis Mixing Studio and Nathan Johnson Mastering, in Sydney Australia. My facility is an amazing collection of the very best analog & digital co-existing a great room. I've dedicated my journey through life to audio excellence surrounded by music. I love all genres and I've been at it professionally for more than two decades working on music for labels, indie artists, movie soundtracks and award winning documentaries and I'm still as enthusiastic as the first day I saw a mixing console. I am a classically trained audio engineer: what does that mean? I began as the studio coffee boy and worked my way up through the ranks from tape op, to assistant engineer to main engineer and then freelancing, working with many well known international and local producers and engineers in Sydney's large format studios through the late '90s and into the early 2000s, learning the discipline and correct techniques to make records and mix music, before I branched out and started my own facility, and I have never looked back. I have had the pleasure and good fortune to work with many well known Aussie artists, independent artists and labels, and award winning mixing for film and documentaries. I now work exclusively on mixing and mastering. I am extremely client focused and give every mix or master 100% of myself and then some more.
