Kevin Abbenante

About

I'm Kevin Abbenante and I've been a lifelong resident of the Austin area. I've been playing and studying drums for over 25 years, and have been performing and touring professionally for the last 13 years. Not only have I been performing for the past 13 years, but I have also been a session drummer on numerous studio albums. I'm currently performs and touring with Kaleider, The Tequila Rock Revolution, and Dharma Kings.
I earned my Associate Degree in Commercial Music Management from Austin Community College in 2012. I have been working as a professional Audio Engineer for the past ten years predominantly at 512 Studios with Omar Vallejo. I have also done some projects at Evenbreak Productions with Vicki Holmes, and Evil Snail Studios with Kfir and Rom Gov. I currently mix (and master) out of my state-of-the-art home studio.
Since I have been affiliated with 512 Studios, Evenbreak Productions and Evil Snail Studios, I have helped engineer and mix over 100 albums. I take great pride in the fact that 512 Studios was voted “Best Recording Studio” in Austin for the 2016, 2018 and 2019 Austin Chronicle Music Industry Awards. I have been a tracking engineer, mixing engineer, mastering engineer, producer and played as a session drummer on many different styles ranging from Rock, Metal, Country, Hip-Hop and Tejano. I am also an instructor at School of Rock in Round Rock, Texas for the past three years. I teach drums, bass and guitar, and performance programs.
