Hal

Hal Warren is a young rapper from Tacoma, WA. Wiser than his years, a kid brought up in climbing gyms and music venues, and who discovered hip-hop from his brother at 15, he provides a consciousness and sincerity to his listeners. Warren's gritty and old school inspired sound is supported with lyrics that combine vivid illustration with unreserved emotions. Hal graduated from Tacoma's School of The Arts and earned BA in music and a minor in German from Pacific Lutheran University. In his junior year of college, he spent a year living and studying German in Berlin. There, Hal joined "The Night Art Club Berlin," as well as the primarily Spanish speaking hip hop collective Nómadas BRL. Since graduating college, Hal has joined Tacoma’s 52 collective after being a part of the Grit City Cypher for almost two years. Hal is currently applying to music masters programs in Berlin to further his studies and career.
