My career in music composition was first shaped by events in February of 2011. I had written a quartet with piano accompaniment for my late music teacher in order to pay homage to the musical legacy she had left behind. The piece received increasing attention, which ultimately led to the catalyst to my composition curiosity: a debut performance of my composition at a memorial concert for my music teacher at Stern Auditorium at Carnegie Hall. Behind the scenes, I was informed of another condition of the Carnegie Hall concert. This additional condition required for there to be a complete revision/new arrangement of my composition so that it could accommodate a full ensemble rather than its initial quartet + piano. The revision of my composition to incorporate an entire ensemble was a success. The performance marked the beginning of a rather inundation of composition and piano opportunities that shape me into a favorable position to assist with a number of complex music notation tasks: scoring and arranging, audition/prepared piece accompaniment, transcriptions, film scoring, commissioned pieces, etc.
