Zouen is a first generation Coptic American. Having roots in the Middle East, (Egypt) his soulful expression of rhythm, provides a perfect foundation for his particular brand of metal. The combination of traditional Egyptian music, and heavy-metal distorted guitars, two seemingly opposing styles successfully merged into a complementary marriage of melody and aggression. “ Growing up in the Coptic Church, gave me that Middle Eastern influence.
