Charles M Barnes is a versatile musician known for his skills as a live and studio piano player, bass player, and orchestrator. Charles is a songwriter, and producer. He has contributed his talents by playing live for award-winning artists and is the proud owner of Storyteller Publishing, LLC. Charles is the founder of "Hope in the Round," a project that showcases songs of hope, faith, and love from songwriters who have overcome addiction. Charles has been nominated for Bass Player of the Year in 2022, Utility/Specialty Musician of the Year in 2024 and Inspirational Artist of the Year in 2025 for that Arkansas Country Music Awards. Additionally, Charles collaborates with Freedom Sings Arkansas as a songwriter and producer of songs, using music to inspire and empower veterans helping them find healing through song. His dedication to music as a force for healing and connection shines through in his diverse roles and contributions to the music industry.
