I’m a freelance musician, composer, producer and arts manager based in Montreal and Ottawa, Canada. My main craft is performing and recording guitar. I also have experience in music production (live and studio), songwriting, bass playing, arranging, tour managing, grant writing, promotion, editing, mixing, and composing for film, podcast, theatre productions and video games. BUCK AE DOWN is a Los Angeles based multi-instrumentalist, producer, visual artist, and writer with a career spanning over 25 years in professional music. Beginning in the early 1990’s as the frontman for Caroline Records recording artists, COMBINE then later fronting the internationally renown 30 piece festival phenomenon MUTAYTOR in the 2000’s and then later as the founding member of Green Queen Music recording artists THE GENTLEMEN CALLERS of LOS ANGELES – Buck has been touring internationally and releasing music across the globe for over two and a half decades performing at several high profile festivals such as Glastonbury and Coachella. After writing and appearing on over a dozen records across his career, he embarked on a solo career in 2018 beginning with ALL THE WAY DOWN-his first fully-fledged solo release; a record which he not only produced and mastered himself in his own studio, but performed almost every instrument himself in the process. This also was the first vinyl release on his new label ALL THE WAY DOWN MUSIC. He followed up the following year with the album THE HEAVY WEIGHT AND THE LIFT, which was also released on the ATWD label on both vinyl and digital formats. In 2019, Combine performed its only reunion show in 25 years at the annual Veer Magazine Music Awards, where they were only the second band to be honored with Veer's Lifetime Achievement Award. Hey! I'm Alexander Almgren a music producer from Yorkshire, England. My credits include 17 albums that have reached the top 20 on the Billboard 200, five of which have reached the top three. I've worked with artists such as Born Cages, Skylar Spence, Bondax, Brand New, Dar Williams, Vanessa Carlton, and Smoke DZA. I worked on Born Cages’ acclaimed track “Don’t Look Back,” for which I received a gold record in 2015. I was trained in jazz and classical music, and went on to study popular music and music technology at the University of Huddersfield. After graduating, I moved to New York City to work with Neil McClellan at The Lodge Music Production House, creating advertising music for products such as Dentyne gum and Hot Wheels toy cars. Not long after, I began working with Gary Philips on production for a major children’s music brand, as well as working with various Razor & Tie Recordings artists. I continue producing children’s pop music to this day, which requires me to identify each component of a successful pop song and recreate it. This process has helped me develop a hyper-awareness of what goes into the production of a hit song. In 2015, I opened Freshly Baked Studios in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn, where I produce for a wide variety of artists. My productions allow a song’s strengths to shine through on the track. It’s always about connecting with the feeling of the song -- I see my job as bringing different aspects of the song in and out of focus to lead the listener to the most important moments.

I'm a producer, artist and engineer based in Berlin with vast experience across diverse genres from rock, indie, pop to electronic, psychedelic and experimental. I grew up in the small town of Smithers, B.C. in a very artistic household: my Mother, a painter, writer, and magazine publisher; my dad, a graphic designer, set designer and guitarist/singer. From an early age, I was exposed to live music, attending concerts and music festivals around northern B.C. I started playing music when I received my first guitar at age 7 and continued throughout elementary and high school where I played tenor saxophone and trumpet in several school bands, and sang in the jazz and choral choirs. My career in music began the year after I graduated high school when I and long time friend, Zak Windle, started writing music together under the name Ranger Smash. We co-produced and released our first 10-track album together in June, 2016. During this time, I was also attending the conservatory acting program at Studio 58 in Vancouver where I honed my crooneresque style, and developed my vocal technique. After graduating, I went on to write, record and self-produce my first solo album under the name Scalawag, released in March, 2019, during my Album release tour. More recently, I released two singles “Touch” in late 2020, getting tagged “The silky smooth articulation…We are in love!” By Tonemill, and garnering a 90% score on Submithub. My subsequent single “You On My Mind,” released in February 2021 to critical acclaim "Scalawag soothes your spirit while filling you with the warm blossoming energy of falling in love" -The Other Side Reviews. "The atmospheric elements of this track really set it apart in a crowded folk scene right now." -Ear to the Ground.

Recording engineer, producer and mixer. I've been lucky enough to work with talents of all ranges from superstar rock icons to local bands. All of that experience comes through in my work to help the artist achieve the best results possible.

With 30+ years in the business, working for and collaborating with a multitude of commercially successful artists, producers, DJs, film composers and advertising agencies, I am always looking for fresh projects that challenge my audiophile mind. In my own studio, I usually write & produce in Ableton Live, and record, mix and master in ProTools. Happy in either environment, I sometimes use both concurrently via Rewire. I did a *lot* of remixing in the 90s and 00s, and still enjoy doing so. Leftfield and experimental sound design have always been favourites of mine, as well as composing to picture. Composition for TV advertising in New York, and collaboration on a number of feature films with the named composers brought plenty of sound to picture experience, and I taught Audio Post Production at Full Sail, Orlando. I am an Ableton Live expert who is working at two major electronic music schools in London, teaching and developing courses at BA degree level. I am also a producer and live performer with over twenty years experience working across many underground electronic genres. I am used to giving detailed and constructive feedback as an everyday part of my high-level teaching role. I teach all aspects of music production, sound design or live performance (including audio-visual work) and focus on using the Ableton Live software for my tuition and own productions – but am familiar with other DAWs and media production tools as well. I work with both Mac and PC platforms and provide a friendly yet professional service. I’m physically based in London, hold public liability insurance, a Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training and am CRB checked. To know yourself and accept yourself can be one of life’s greatest challenges. But what I do know about myself is that I have a gift for creating and that art has always been my main passion. Ever since I could pick up a crayon I would draw, and at a young age I dreamt of being a comic book artist. As my teenage years went by I picked up playing guitar, and music quickly became another major influence on my life. Upon graduating high school I went to a local community college for Art/Graphic Design. I disliked the program, failed my first year, and switched my academic focus to the Recoding Arts and to Music. Within a few years I had 2 degrees in the Recording Arts (Full Sail University) and 1 in Music Business (Full Sail University) and a job at a major audio production house in NYC (HSR|NY). In 2011 I moved back to my hometown of Wilkes-Barre, Pa. settled into a house and starting working for my Grandfathers business in HVAC. During this time I put together a professional home recording studio, played in bands, taught myself piano, and networked with local artists. In 2019 I began questioning my life, and purpose. I started reading a lot of books, and listening to a lot of Alan Watts. Somewhere in my readings I discovered sacred geometry and it instantly struck a chord. After 13yrs of not drawing I picked the pencil back up and started drawing geometry at work during my downtime. When Covid19 hit the United States, I got laid off from work and found myself with a lot of time on my hands; so I started drawing for hours a day. Shorty after without any expectation, my art got noticed. Over a short course of a few months I have done art for restaurants, sold commissioned works, and have received recognition globally from businesses, artists, and fans. I have recently been asked to have my work featured in galleries, and am in the process of designing a clothing line and doing album art. 3 of my greatest influences are Rafael Araujo, Daniel Martin Diaz, and Andy Gilmore. I’m primarily a professional drummer who has toured with Jay-Z, Pharrell Williams/NERD, Alicia Keys, P-Diddy, Wiz Khalifa, Jill Scott, etc. Music production and mixing are my other strengths and loves outside of touring. I've been producing and mixing for over 20 years. I've sat with Guru, Jazzy Jeff, and other great engineers and producers that I have been told I have a great broad ear. No boxes here...!
