Scott Anderton

I’m a bassist, guitarist, producer, songwriter and arranger based in the Savannah, Georgia area, and the founder of Vertical Movement. My approach to music has always been centered around groove, feel and creating something that connects with people. My background crosses reggae, soul, funk, rock, R&B and jam music, and I enjoy bringing those influences together rather than staying inside one particular genre. Whether I’m playing bass, writing, arranging, producing or working through a mix, I tend to approach the song from the same perspective: serve the groove, leave room for the musicians, and let the song develop its own identity. I currently produce and arrange music for Vertical Movement while also working as a gun for hire musician.
