I’ve always loved music, but it became even more intertwined with my life when I learned that all of my emotions and stories and versions of myself in my memories—all the different parts of myself—have individual voices that need to be heard. This was a long time coming; it took a decade of deep-rooted mental health struggles and many truly low points, and help from a lot of different amazing people. I’ve spent too much of life pushing away the voices I didn’t want to listen to; now music is the way I give voice to all of the parts of me. I hope the music I put in the world helps you connect to the parts of yourself that you may be afraid to connect to. Parts that society says shouldn’t be there, but that everyone has.
