Jean de Aguiar studied classical guitar extensively with prestigious masters such as Alberto Ponce and Raphaël Andia. He holds a master’s degree in baroque guitar. Passionate about South American music, jazz, and improvisation, his eclectic tastes lead him to compose music for TV shows, animated feature films, and commercials. The release of his albums Acoustica in 2019 and Acoustic Player in 2021 marks his return to the acoustic guitar, his instrument of choice, but also reflects his quest for a certain alchemy between purity and sophistication, jazz, classical, or world music.
