splitshift and half of distraction4ever is a composer, producer, digital artist and Dj from Montréal. His practices were mainly based on electroacoustic and field recording music which were played in many festivals across America and Europe including at the New York Electroacoustic Music Festival and Festival de la Imagen in Colombia. Shifting from his contemporary Art School background on his latest releases, not sure about it and running again [2021] Splitshift created a new music project inspired by the emerging rave scene happening in Montreal. Splitshift has been an active participant in the cultural life of Montreal by co-founding and producing Shift Radio [shiftradio.live] and through DJ and VJ performances in diverse venue and radios.
