Sálid

Sálid Sims is a singer/songwriter from Greenville SC. His journey started when he was at the young age of 9 where he sang in the church choir of his parents Baptist church. Sálid began writing poetry when he was in the 3rd grade and those poems were transformed into rap songs a couple of years later when he entered middle school. When Sálid was a freshman in high school his parents came home with something that would change his life forever…a cassette tape from a group called Jodeci. Their soulful sounds and heart piercing lyrics lit a flame inside of Sálid and he knew that this was what he wanted to do as well. Lots of triumphs, roadblocks, and live experiences later has caused him to finally share his talents with the world. Welcome to his experience.
