About A. N. D.
A. N. D., a spirited Filipino rapper, was born in Makati City and raised across Manila’s diverse neighborhoods, embracing the blend of cultures and walks of life. His rap roots trace back to age 11, when he tinkered with a karaoke mic and a radio cassette player, recording a cappella on blank tapes. Educated at Catholic schools like The Nazarene Catholic School and San Sebastian College - Recoletos Manila, he dreamed of blending Gospel with rap. But with scarce guidance and Catholic rap’s faint pulse, he turned to crafting verses about sin and struggle, striking a chord with kindred spirits. Still, he wove threads of faith into his raw art. In 2016, his debut mixtape Dreams Never Die emerged, selling two physical copies in the U.S. and hitting stages at Filipino events globally. (Catch early tracks on YouTube @ANDRapMusic .) Now, fueled by faith-honed talent, he’s a lyrical threat—dangerous to the demons he defies.
