Hey there, my name is David, but I go by D4. I'm a music project manager, freelance music marketer, artist assistant, blogger and content creator. I'm a swiss army knife when it comes to helping artists. I’ve had a hand in almost every aspect of a music career, except the making of music itself. This includes booking, performance contracts, planning & executing music releases, web design, membership sites (Patreon), e-commerce (Squarespace), producing social media content, tour management and online marketing. My newest role/position is project manager for Mobile Home Recordings. I also write for D4 Music Marketing, which is an online blog I created to educate new and emerging independent artists about marketing and the music business. In addition to music marketing, I also help artists create content as a photographer and videographer. My tastes in music are in Hip Hop and R&B with and some electronic, which is naturally going to be the type of artists I'm more likely to work with.

I'm a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, recording engineer, mixer, DJ and co-owner of the Freq Shop recording studio in Montreal, Canada I've produced, mixed and recorded music for The Damn Truth, Brittany Kennell, Family Man, The Franklin Electric, John Jacob Magistery, Hanorah & Olivier Couture to name a few. I engineered The Damn Truth's LP Now Or Nowhere, produced by the legendary Bob Rock and worked alongside Grammy nominated producer Brandon Friesen in Los Angeles. I was nominated for an ADISQ Album of the Year award in 2021 for my work on The Franklin Electric's LP Never Look Back. I came up through the studio scene as an engineer. I started as an intern and worked my way up to be a staff engineer. In that time, I had the opportunity to work with some of the biggest names in all of music. I'm a NY-based session and touring cellist. I've recorded for Stefon Harris, Holychild, and John Brown's Body and shared the stage with Roger Daltrey and The Who and Rubblebucket.
