Matthew Weber is currently associate principal bassist of the Karlovy Vary Symphony Orchestra, a core member of the Czech National Symphony Orchestra, and a member of the North Czech Capella (North Czech Chamber Ensemble). He has recently performed with The Halle Orchestra as guest assistant principal bass, and played as principal bassist under the late Ennio Morricone on his final European tour. Matthew holds a master of music degree from the Juilliard School. He has recorded for Deutche Grammophon, Universal Records, Phillip Glass, soprano Teodora Gheorgihu, Albany Records, BMOP/Sound (Boston Modern Orchestra Project), and has recorded numerous movie scores with the Czech National Symphony. Recent recordings include the double bass part for Goosebumps The Musical, and as bass guitarist on a full length EP with the metal band Eros. I play the Golden Throat Talkbox, using a Yamaha DX-100 a la Roger. I have since 1995 when I befriended Roger Troutman on a tour through California. Roger gave me the secrets to his sound and his production techniques, guitar riffs, gear and how he plays the Talkbox.
