Dr. Zibo Li, an accomplished classical pianist, began studying the piano at the age of four. He has been nurtured and encouraged in his musical pursuits by his mother, a renowned pianist in China. Recognized early on for his exceptional abilities, Dr. Zibo Li has consistently triumphed in prestigious competitions worldwide. Include the Oriental Youth Art Star Contest Junior Class Gold Award (2004), the Heitzman Cup Oriental Youth Piano Competition Junior Class Gold Award (2005), and the Hong Kong Asia Open Piano Competition First Prize in various categories such as Rachmaninoff, Chopin, and Beethoven Sonata. As a recipient of numerous scholarships, Dr. Zibo Li’s dedication to his craft has been acknowledged through prestigious honors. Notable awards include the Yearly Merit Student First Prize Scholarship in 2011-2013, as well as the Government Scholarship in 2012. He was recognized as an Outstanding Student Leader in 2012 and received the National Scholarship in 2013. Additionally, he was honored as an Honor University Student in 2014. As for his academic pursuits, he was a full scholarship student at Bowling Green State University in 2016-2017 and University of Miami from 2019-2022, where he pursued his Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) degree. He was awarded the DMA Honors: Award of Academic Merit in Keyboard Performance Major in 2022. Dr. Zibo Li’s performances have graced renowned venues worldwide. From solo concerts in Changchun, Shenyang, Bowling Green, Manhattan, Toledo, Miami, and beyond, he has left audiences and critics mesmerized by his artistry. Noteworthy highlights include the Yamaha Asian Scholarship Piano Concert in Shenyang, the One World Concert at Lincoln Center in Manhattan, and the World Premiere of Eric Thiman’s Piano Sonata and Suite in E in Florida. In 2022, Dr. Zibo Li released his piano solo album, showcasing the works of British composers. The album features masterpieces such as Eric Thiman’s Sonata in One Movement for Piano Solo and Suite in E for Two Pianos (both world premieres), as well as compositions by Cyril Scott, York Bowen, and Madeleine Dring Beyond his own artistic endeavors, Dr. Zibo Li is deeply committed to nurturing the next generation of musicians. As a respected piano faculty member and choral accompanist at Saint Andrew's School in Boca Raton, Florida, he imparts his extensive knowledge and passion for music to aspiring students. Through comprehensive instruction, Dr. Zibo Li guides students in developing their technical prowess and musicality, preparing them for performances, competitions, and auditions. His collaborative spirit shines as he works alongside colleagues to organize musical events, concerts, and choral productions, ensuring a vibrant and enriching musical environment for his students.
