Kazi Jones, a New Jersey native, discovered his passion for music during his upbringing. In high school, he collaborated with friends to produce hip-hop mixtapes, drawing inspiration from icons like Dr. Dre, Jay Z, Nas, and Eminem. However, his musical journey evolved during his time at Delaware State University, where he majored in Mass Communication. Realizing he could make an impact behind the scenes, Kazi embraced music production as a means to express emotions and tell stories. Viewing himself as a painter with his computer and MIDI keyboard as the canvas, he rejects the confines of traditional music genres, preferring to sample from diverse perspectives for creative innovation.
