Jaykay is a gifted Afro-pop artist from Umueze Kindred, Enu-Avomimi Village, Enugwu-Ukwu, in Njikoka Local Government Area, Anambra State, Nigeria. Born Ikenna John Nwangwu, Jaykay is the second son of Bishop and Reverend Dr. Timothy Uchenna Nwangwu (Nwachukwu) and Mrs. Chima Dorathy Nwangwu (Belonwu), a devoted businesswoman. From a family of two boys and two girls, he grew up surrounded by faith, discipline, and creativity. An ex student of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Uli, where he studied for a B.Sc. in Computer Science, Jaykay channels intelligence and passion into his music. His distinctive Afro-pop style reflects both his roots and his futuristic vision for African sound.
