Demian Slade

Improvisational Neo-Classical Piano Composer. Born in Los Angeles. A former child actor (i.e. the Two Dollar Kid from Better Off Dead). Raised by an actor mom and musician father, I had an early start in the arts. Started playing drums at four years old, I later progressed to piano, then guitar. I have a keen ear. I taught myself piano by reading Beatles chords and sounding out the melody in my head. Taking all the music principles I have learned and practiced over the years, I have been composing and performing original piano music for the past several years. I’ve heard the best way to describe the music itself would be to use the word ‘cinematic.’ The music, itself, tends to send the listener on an adventure. Many claim that they feel teleported out of time and space. Most of my music is relaxing and healing. I would not, however, classify it as meditative, because the music is too engaging. The most specific I can get, genre-wise, would be to call it a classical, jazz and classic rock fusion.
