As an aspiring song writer and music producer,  Mardi Vegas aka thebeatsniper, has been a driving creative force with the development of unsigned music projects throughout his subtle music career. As a music producer he prides himself on being a “background kinda guy”. He loves working with other artists, writers, music producers, and audio engineers. Born Marshall Pettway(Sr.) the southern influenced music producer is continuing to share his artistic interpretation of what he describes as Rap-Blues. This is a genre that Mardi defines as mellow, salty, emotional, conversational, and inspiring all rolled up into one nice package. In his hometown of Prichard, Alabama a suburb located just north of the city of  Mobile, Alabama. Marshall  grew up influenced by what he describes as a “smorgasbord of music”. A place where Gospel music and the Blues runs deep into the city’s foundation and is complimented by the threaded sounds of Rap/Hip Hop, Soulful R&B, Metal, Rock, Dance, Reggae etc. Marshall is credited with many underground (meaning unsigned or unaffiliated with any major/major independent labels) music projects, but has his sight set on his latest work entitled Way Back When.  Listed under his own publishing label Broadband Music Publishing Group along with his iCloud, web-based production platform thebeatsniper.com, this will be the first songs of many. With todays’ advances in media and production technology, he is positive that his work shall reach the ears of all those who can appreciate just a little southern charm from time to time.
